MMTC surveyed Michigan’s small and midsize manufacturers to better understand their challenges, priorities, and needs for 2025. We’re now sharing those insights at one of four regional events focused on the trends shaping manufacturing across the state.

Attendees will explore workforce recruitment and retention, technology adoption, growth strategies amid uncertainty, and the resources manufacturers need for long-term success. The event will also highlight region-specific trends to help manufacturers, stakeholders, and policymakers plan for 2026.

The program includes welcoming remarks from Ingrid Tighe, MMTC President, and Andria Romkema Senior Vice President, Business Development The Right Place, followed by a deep dive into national, state, and West Michigan survey results.

Josh Johnston, MMTC Lean Program Manager will share insights on the evolving role of AI in manufacturing.

The morning concludes with a leadership panel featuring Peter Hungerford; Representative Hillary Scholten; Nelson Sanchez, CEO of RoMan Manufacturing; and Patrick Greene, CEO of Cascade Die Casting Group, moderated by Ingrid Tighe.
